The Athenian Senate

Angel Chakeres ran this Greek restaurant for a decade or so in the 1990s. Before that, it was started by Monika Callard and partners — not Greek, however, just the Senate — who went on to open Wildflour.  Built between 1893 and 1989, and rebuilt after it was destroyed by a fire in 1923, the building was originally a boarding house (read: brothel), and it included, at times, a restaurant. The original Senate restaurant and saloon was in an adjacent building to the south.

Like many formerly commercial Telluride buildings, the former brothel, having been expanded in the rear, is now high-end residential real estate. The amount of new square footage, above and behind, is difficult to see from this angle.
