Harmon Brown was the front of the house man par excellence, and when Harmon’s was humming it was a great restaurant in a great building — one of the town’s most historic structures, the 1891 Denver & Rio Grande Southern train depot.
Can’t blame Harmon for retiring. The building was purchased by the Ah Haa School in 2007, which is now selling it to the Telluride Science Research Institute. Fortunately, it will keep remain a public building. Can anyone fill in the years of Harmon’s operation? How about the names of the chefs who worked there? Favorite dishes? Poker stories?
