Honga Im was a fixture in the Telluride dining scene for at least 20 years. She started out with a food cart, and this location, currently housing Telluride Bistro, was her first bricks-and-mortar location, with three more to come. In 2015 she sold the restaurant, which then was located on main street in the old Roma space, and she moved to Ridgway. She ran a Honga’s there for awhile, but now she’s catering. So you can still eat Honga’s food if you get invited to the right events!
Honga’s pan Asian cooking has legions of fans. Her insistence on researching fish species to avoid anything endangered or improperly raised was inspiring.
